About The Finish Line
The Finish Line talks about my passion for running that started in 2013. I was just an ordinary jogger at the beginning, until my interests grew as result of the social and health benefits that I have gained (see running benefits that changed my life). I had my debut race (21K) for the World Vision Run 2013 and had been captivated by the sports thereafter. I regard running as a form of social recreation, health and fitness, and an avenue for helping the community.
The goal of every runner is to cross the finish line. Unless we set our eyes off this goal, we won’t see the hurdles along the road or limitations that we sometimes impose on ourselves.
Metaphorically speaking, life is a race.
I am fascinated by the idea of a finish line in a race and the motivation it evokes whenever I think of my goals, dreams, and purpose in life.
When the time comes that we finished all the races in our lives, we should be able to stand before the Ultimate Source of Our Strength, and deliver a report of our race performance: “I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV).”
The road to the finish line will not always be convenient; in fact, it can be very lonely (read the ultimate guide to running life’s lonely roads). So, please remember this important tip: “Let us RUN with endurance the RACE that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV).”
Now, if you are ready, let’s RUN!
